In November 2011, industrial production increased at constant prices by 5.4%, y-o-y. Seasonally adjusted industrial production increased by 2.7%, month-on-month. These results were influenced by long-term positive development in the automotive industry as well as by cumulative completion of orders with a longer production cycle in machinery and production of heavy transport technology. The following contributed the most to the y-o-y growth of industrial production: manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (contribution +3.2 percentage point, growth by 17.7%), manufacture of machinery and equipment (contribution +1.0 p.p., growth by 12.9%), and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (contribution +0.9 p.p., growth by 10.2%). The deepest decline of industrial production was recorded in manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products (contribution -0.9 p.p., drop by 21.8%), manufacture of food products (contribution -0.3 p.p., drop by 6.4%), and manufacture of chemicals and chemical products (contribution -0.1 p.p., drop by 4.6%).

Revenues from industrial activity at current prices increased by 6.6%, y-o-y. Direct export revenues of industrial enterprises increased at current prices by 15.0%. Domestic revenues, which include also indirect export via non-industrial enterprises decreased at current prices by 0.7%.

The value of new orders in selected industrial CZ-NACE activities increased by 4.0%, y-o-y. Non-domestic new orders grew by 10.6%, while domestic new orders decreased by 6.8%. The y-o-y growth of new orders in total was the most contributed to by the following CZ-NACE divisions: manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (contribution +3.1 p.p., growth by 9.6%), manufacture of electrical equipment (contribution +1.0 p.p., increase by 10.9%), and manufacture of fabricated metal products (contribution +0.7 p.p., growth by 6.2%). The value of new orders decreased in manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products (contribution -1.8 p.p., drop
by 13.9%), manufacture of paper and paper products (contribution -0.2 p.p., drop by 7.1%), and manufacture of machinery and equipment (contribution -0.1 p.p., drop by 1.2%).

The average registered number of employees * ) in industrial enterprises with 50+ employees increased in November 2011 by 1.7%, y-o-y. Their average monthly nominal wage increased in November 2011 by 2.2%, y-o-y, and reached CZK 29 501.

According to the Eurostat news release published in October 2011, working day adjusted industrial production in the EU27 increased by 1.3%, y-o-y. Data for November 2011 will be released by Eurostat on 12 January 2012 at 11:00 a.m.
