In the y-o-y comparison, it dropped by 4.3%. “In February, the production hit high comparison bases of both last February and this years January and less favourable weather also contributed to the decrease in production. The production decrease was attenuated by building construction, which dropped by 1.5%, year-on-year, while civil engineering construction decreased by 14.4%,” Radek Matějka, Director of the Agricultural and Forestry, Industrial, Construction, and Energy Statistics Department of the Czech Statistical Office (CZSO), says.

The decrease is due to the category of family houses, in which the numbers have been falling since half 2022 already.
