According to the preliminary estimate, the gross domestic product increased in the Q2 2015 by 4.4%, year-on-year; compared to the Q1 2015 it was 0.9% up.

In the second quarter of 2015, the Czech economy retained its growth and thus confirmed its enhancing performance. According to the preliminary estimate, the gross domestic product (GDP) adjusted for price effects and seasonally adjusted*) increased in the Q2 2015 by 4.4%, year-on-year; compared to the Q1 2015 it increased by 0.9%.

The growth dynamics is more balanced through all economic activities, in comparison with Q1 2015. On the expenditure side, the growth is contributed to by consumption of households as well as higher investment activity.

The development on the labour market is also positive. Employment in terms of national accounts increased by 1.4%, y-o-y, and by 0.2% in the q-o-q comparison.
