The public sector communication conference held in Prague on 25 March 2008, organised by the Westminster Company and Inside Journal, recognised the Czech Statistical Office as one of the institutions communicating best with the public.

This is the result of the research project European Monitor of Government Communications (EMGC) which monitored, for the second time, the quality of communication of public administration institutions in the Czech Republic.
In total 516 institutions were addressed by the survey, and 376 institutions responded (the response rate was 73%). The Westminster Company recorded the best response figures in the regions where 12 out of 13 authorities reported and among ministries from which 12 out of 14 questionnaires arrived.

The Czech Statistical Office reached ranking 1–3 in the category Selected State Institutions, together with the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and the Energy Regulatory Office.
