Basic data on the collection of electronic Census forms at the 2011 Population and Housing Census

 

The Czech Statistical Office (CZSO) received in total 4.33 million Census forms in the electronic form within the 2011 Population and Housing Census. These forms included 2.8 million Census forms of a person, 1.05 Census forms of a dwelling, and 0.48 million of Census forms of a house/building. The share of electronic Census forms in all filled and retuned Census forms attained 25.5%, which approximately corresponds to shares given in public opinion surveys.

Persons of younger age and higher educational attainment used the Internet more frequently for the Census purposes. Highest numbers of electronic Census forms were sent by citizens on weekends and in evenings, and the filling of one form took 10 minutes on average. Prague inhabitants used the electronic from for filling in most of all. On the Census decisive moment there were 62 children aged one day exactly. The oldest person, who got registered electronically in the Census, was aged 106 years.
