Statistics on Minorities The main topic of this section will be the exchange of experience about tools and methods of statistical description concerning various groups of minorities in the society. This description is focussed - first of all – on ethnic groups (for example Roma), national minorities, communities of immigrants as well as on people with health handicap. Presentations and discussions should be oriented on statistical surveys in this area but also on the use of administrative data sources, co-operation between national statistical institutions and other governmental authorities at both central and regional levels and co-operation with non-governmental organisations. Proper use of statistical indicators and analytical methods is very important.
