Date and conference venue

Czech Statistical Office (CZSO) has the honour to host the fifth EFGS Conference in Prague from 24 ^th October to 26 ^th October 2012. It will be held in the Czech Association of Scientific and Technical Societies headquarters (ČSVTS) on Novotného lávka 5 in the historical centre of Prague.

Target participants

The EFGS 2012 Prague conference would like to attract professionals not only from National Statistical Institute´s, but also experts from research and academic communities and private sector, who are involved in the production and use of GeoStatistics.

About EFGS

The European Forum for Geostatistics (EFGS) represents a professional network of experts contributing within the framework of the European Statistical System to creating a common geostatistical data infrastructure and to best practices in collecting, producing and disseminating georeferenced statistics.

Attendance fee

There is no attendance fee for the conference. All costs (travel, accommodation, boarding, social program) will be covered by the participants. Lunches and tea & coffee breaks during the conference will be provided by the organizers.

Conference language

The official conference language is English and interpretation services will not be provided.

For submitting papers, posters and presentations and their abstracts please follow instructions on this web page. All contributions will be released on this web page after the EFGS 2012 Conference. Conference proceedings of abstracts and papers are planned to be released in the electronic form; printed version is not planned.

Social programme

The participants can also look forward to attractive social programme, which will include a sightseeing tour through historical Prague and tasting of delicious Czech cuisine and world-known Czech beer.
