Trial censuses came to a full stop - the forms were shredded

Last week the Czech Statistical Office disposed of all forms coming from trial censuses performed in spring. Pursuant to the Law on Personal Data Protection they have to be shredded immediately after their processing by statisticians. It concerned approx. 90 thousand forms in total and their weight was exactly 493 kilograms. Since these documents contained the personal data, they had to be treated according to special very strict rules. They were stored in specially secured rooms and shredded by a specialized company having security certificates issued by the National Security Authority. Present at shredding were also reporters from the news server iDnes.cz. If you are interested how such action takes place and what remained from forms, see the following pages: http://zpravy.idnes.cz/video-statistici-zaveleli-a-prisne-strezene-formulare-se-zmenily-ve-strouhanku-gfr-/domaci.asp?c=A100826_161017_domaci_hv
