Adjustment of some results of the European Union Statistics on Income and Living Conditions (EU-SILC)
As a result of recent harmonization, which brought our calculation and publication practice concerning income poverty, material deprivation, and low work intensity indicators fully into line with Eurostat methodology, the Czech Statistical Office has adjusted some of the previously published data.
Specifically, the adjustment concerns tables 19-20 and 19-21 of the "Household Income and Living Conditions" publications for 2010 and 2011, respectively.
Differences from the previously published results can especially be found in the detailed breakdowns. Generally, the figures for the Czech Republic as a whole do not differ at all, or only slightly (in tenths of a percent).
We believe that the adjustment will be understood as a necessity in making national and Eurostat data comparable and accepted well.
