Notification – Date of a News Release Publication Has Been Changed

The News Release (NR) on rates of employment, unemployment and economic activity for December 2014 will be published on a new date, on Friday 30 January 2015. The originally announced date was on three days later, on Monday 2 February 2015.

“The reason the date of publication of the News Release on rates of employment, unemployment and economic activity has been changed is the need to harmonise the date with Eurostat, which publishes News Release on rates of employment, unemployment and economic activity of Member States of the European Union,” stated Mr Dalibor Holý, Director of the Labour Market and Equal Opportunities Statistics Department of the Czech Statistical Office.

In the course of January 2015 Eurostat has made minor changes to its preliminary schedule of News Releases’ publication. For this reason dates of publication of further three NRs informing on rates of employment, unemployment and economic activity in 2015 will not be harmonised. Being concrete the dates of publication of the NR for April 2015 (the CZSO will publish this NR on 29 May 2015, Eurostat shall publish the News Release on 3 June 2015), the NR for July 2015 (the CZSO will publish this NR on 31 August 2015, Eurostat shall publish the News Release on 1 September 2015), and the NR for October 2015 (the CZSO will publish this NR on 30 November 2015, Eurostat shall publish the News Release on 1 December 2015).

In the aforementioned three cases, the Czech Statistical Office, however, adheres to the originally planned dates of publication, i.e. 29 May, 31 August, and 30 November 2015.
