Czech Statistical Office (hereafter only „CZSO“) is partner of the project led by Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic with a title „Mechanismy prosazování principů udržitelného rozvoje ve státní správě“, Reg. No. CZ.03.4.74/0.0/0.0/15_019/0014042, which has been in progress at the CZSO since 1^st July 2019 and is co-financed by EU funds. Other project partners are Ministry of Regional Development and Czech Environment Information Agency.

The project strive to set up processes for mapping sustainable development and estimating the impact of society's development. The project also ensure the updating and evaluation of strategic documents for the sustainable development of the Czech Republic and propose policy coherence.

CZSO as the relevant institution coordinating the monitoring of sustainable development through indicators for the Strategic framework of the Czech Republic 2030, the quality of life in the Czech republic and the international Agenda 2030. CZSO forwards to project partners acquired data for the fulfillment of all indicator sets, CZSO experts coordinate data collection for the indicated sets of indicators, ensure intergovernmental coordination in data collection, revision of indicators and verify their feasibility. All of this activities are supervised by the Indicators Committee of the Government Council for Sustainable Development.

The project is realised within the Operational Programme Employment with financial support from EU funds.

Results: One of the main outputs of the project is the development of the website for indicators https://www.sdg-data.cz/en. The website was developed as a platform for sharing sustainable development indicators. On the website users can find indicators for all three indicator sets – Agenda 2030, CR 2030, Quality of Life. All indicators are presented here in the form of visualizations supplemented with informative metadata. The information is easy to understand and easy to use for communication or promotional purposes.
