HOW MUCH/MANY COULD I BUY...?

Let’s play with figures with us.
Mr. AverageIf it is true that “money is not last but first”, many of us will be interested (due to statistical reasons) especially in the comparison of our wage with the average and how much could we buy for the money in the past as for goods and services.

We have created a new application for you to depict statistics of wages and prices of goods and services in an illustrative and comprehensible way.

We would like to show you that statistical data do not have to be only in brief tables – you can play with them; for example, you can try to compare in a graph what will happen when your wage changes and the like.

Mr. Average will be your guide – he will help you understand the development in the graph.

Have a look, how the value of the average gross monthly wage was developing and compare your own wage with it. As for Mr. Average, how many eggs, theatre tickets or petrol could he buy for his wage and how about you? Were you better off or worse off twenty years ago?
