Information technologies - Reports on quality

  • EU Member States provide the Commission (Eurostat) with reports on the quality of data transmitted on the base of Article 12 – Statistical quality of the Regulation (EC) No 223/2009 on European statistics (which was amended by Regulation (EU) No 2015/759).

Usage of information technologies in households and by individuals

Specific quality requirements are laid down in sectoral legislation, namely in the Regulation EU No 2019/1700 establishing a common framework for European statistics relating to persons and households, based on data at individual level collected from samples. Up to 2020 (including), the quality requirements were regulated by Regulation EC 808/2004 concerning Community statistics on the information society.

Since 2021 quality reports are sent via standard Eurostat tool Metadata Handler and available via standard web-link on Eurostat web. Older reports were sent by email and published on CIRCA by Eurostat.
