In retail sale including sale of automotive fuel (CZ-NACE 47) seasonally adjusted sales at constant prices increased by 1.0%, m-o-m; working days adjusted increased by 3.0%, y-o-y. Seasonally non-adjusted sales increased by 1.8%, y-o-y, especially thanks to higher sale of food by 4.6% and non-food goods by 1.6%; on the contrary, decreasing sale of automotive fuel continued (-4.0%).

The already-mentioned total growth of food sales was completely owed to non-specialised stores with food, beverages or tobacco predominating (+5.0%). Sales growth was recorded also in retail sale via mail order houses or via Internet (+9.5%), retail sale of information and communication equipment in specialised stores (+7.5%), retail sale of clothing, footwear and leather goods in specialised stores (+5.4%), retail sale of cultural and recreation goods in specialised stores (+4.8%), and retail sale of second-hand goods in stores (+4.4%). On the contrary, besides automotive fuel, sales decreased also in retail sale via stalls and markets (-12.1%), in non-specialised stores with non-food goods predominating (-1.5%), in retail sale of other household equipment in specialised stores (-0.6%), food in specialised stores, and dispensing chemist, medical and orthopaedic goods, cosmetic and toilet articles in specialised stores (both the same -0.2%).

The price deflator related to the corresponding period of the previous year was 102.2%; it was influenced by continuing significant price increase of automotive fuel (+11.9%). Smaller price increase was reported for prices of goods sold in non-specialised stores with food, beverages or tobacco predominating (+3.4%) and for food in specialised stores (+2.2%). The deepest price falls were in information and communication equipment (-9.4%) and textiles, footwear, and other household equipment in specialised stores (all -1.8%).
