Demografie and Statistika, two scholarly journals published by the Czech Statistical Office, have been included among periodicals with an impact factor in the newest edition of the Journal Citation Reports 2023 of the Web of Science database, a clear proof of their high scientific quality.

Statistika has been indexed in the Web of Science database of scholarly literature since 2016, where it is included in the Emerging Sources Citation Index. Demografie was added to the same Index a year later. Journals that are included in this database can receive an impact factor, which both periodicals have now succeeded. The impact factor for Demografie for 2022 is 0.5 and for Statistika it is 0.2.

Only scholarly journals that demonstrate sufficient scientific quality, appropriate citation rate and fulfil the required standards for the peer review process and publication ethics can receive the impact factor. The Czech Statistical Office would like to thank everyone involved in the publication of these two journals and especially the journals´ editorial boards, reviewers, and authors.
