An overall growth of retail trade was the most contributed to by an increase in retail sale via mail order houses or via Internet (growth of sales by 16.7%). Sales increased in retail sale of information and communication equipment in specialised stores (+9.3%), retail sale of cultural and recreation goods in specialised stores (+8.7%), and sale of other household equipment in specialised stores (+2.0). On the other hand, a drop was recorded in retail sale of clothing, footwear and leather goods in specialised stores (−3.7%) and in retail sale of dispensing chemist and medical and orthopaedic goods (−2.7%). Lower sales were made also in both retail sale of food, beverages and tobacco in specialised stores as well as in non‑specialised stores with food, beverages or tobacco predominating (−2.8% and −0.8%, respectively).

The price deflator (CZ-NACE 47) related to the corresponding period of the previous year (VAT excluded) was 101.9%. It was influenced mainly by higher prices of automotive fuel, dispensing chemist, medical and orthopaedic goods, cosmetic and toilet articles, food, and other household equipment. On the other hand, prices decreased in retail sale of information and communication equipment in specialised stores, retail sale of clothing and footwear, and retail sale of cultural and recreation goods in specialised stores.
