Journal Demography
Demografie is a journal on population development and is the only scholarly periodical devoted to demography in the Czech Republic. It has been published since 1959. It publishes up-to-date articles, analyses, and reviews of population development in the Czech Republic and abroad, presents data on marriage, divorce, birth, and death rates and on migration, and presents analyses of population censuses. The News section contains information about Czech and foreign literature, with reviews and annotations, and about important events in the field of demography. Each article published is accompanied by an abstract and summary in English.
The periodical is published 4x annually.
The price of a single issue is 48 CZK. An annual subscription costs 192 CZK + postage.
In 2007 the Czech Statistical Office begins to publish an English electronic version of the journal Czech Demography, 2007, Vol. 1. The contents will include a selection of articles, reviews, and summaries from the quarterly journal Demografie, Review for Population Research.
