§ 12 Population Statistics, and Population and Housing Censuses

 
The population statistics maintain statistical information on births, deaths, marriages, divorces and changes of permanent residence. To make possible the production of this information, government and health establishments have the duty, according to the nature of their activity, to provide the Czech Statistical Office with confidential statistical data on birth certificate numbers, address of permanent residence, place of usual residence of foreigners and place of usual residence of foreigners who have been granted asylum under a special Act, citizenship, birth characteris­tics of born children, marital status, order of marriage (divorce), number of minor children in marriages being dissolved, causes of broken home if found, cause of death, length of life of deceased infants, place and time of observed events.
