Employment and unemployment in the CR as measured by the LFSS - 3rd quarter of 2007 Number of employed reached a ten-year maximum Employment and unemployment in the CR as measured by the LFSS In Q3 2007, total employment grew by 102.8 thousand persons year-on-year and reached the highest level in the last ten years. Particularly the number of employees rose by 87.3 thousand, and the number of self-employed by 17.5 thousand. The number of unemployed persons according to ILO methodology was down by 98.3 thousand year-on-year, the number of long-term unemployed dropped by 62.3 thousand. The general unemployment rate fell by 1.9 percentage points to the lowest level since the end of 1997 (5.2%).
