Gender: Health

All information on health care personnel and helath status of the population is collected by the Institute of Health Information and Statistics of the Czech Republic (IHIS CR) on the basis of departmental statistical surveys and mandatory notification by health establishments.


There is a significant grow od diabetics in the CZ in the last decade by men and women as well. There is domination of women among diabetics by all types of treatment.
In both cases, by men and women as well, the proportion of persons treated by insulin and PAD (peroral antidiabetics, including the combined treatment, that means by insulin and PAD) rose and the proportion of persons treated by diet fell.
